  • 3 Days

Overview

Discover Australia’s spiritual heartland on the Uluru, Kata Tjuta & Kings Canyon Camping Tour, an unforgettable 3-day, 2-night journey through the Northern Territory’s Red Centre. This immersive outback experience takes you deep into Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park and the rugged beauty of Watarrka National Park, combining ancient landscapes, First Nations culture, and unforgettable nights under the stars.

Your adventure begins with a visit to the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre, where you’ll learn about the cultural, historical, and geological significance of this UNESCO World Heritage-listed region. From there, explore the towering red domes of Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) on a guided walk through the Valley of the Winds or Walpa Gorge, before watching a breathtaking sunset paint Uluru in shifting shades of orange and red.

Day two brings an early sunrise at Uluru, a guided walk revealing sacred Anangu rock art and Dreamtime stories, plus a self-guided base walk around the rock itself. You’ll then travel to an exclusive campsite near Kings Canyon, ready for the following day’s highlight: trekking the dramatic rim of Watarrka National Park, taking in iconic sights like the Lost City, the Garden of Eden, and the towering North and South Walls.

Throughout the tour, you’ll sleep in comfortable permanent safari-style tented campsites, enjoy hearty meals around the campfire, and travel in air-conditioned comfort along the scenic Mereenie Loop Road, one of the Territory’s most spectacular off-the-beaten-track drives.

Guided by knowledgeable local experts and consistently praised in verified traveller reviews, this camping tour is the ultimate way to experience Uluru, Kata Tjuta, and Kings Canyon in one seamless, small-group adventure—perfect for travellers seeking adventure, culture, and unforgettable outback stargazing.
