The Daily Public Tour offers travelers a convenient and engaging way to explore Victoria’s renowned Yarra Valley region without the need for private arrangements. Designed to run every day, this group-based experience provides a reliable option for visitors who want to immerse themselves in wine, food, and local culture while meeting fellow travelers along the way. With a laid-back, casual style of guiding, the tour emphasizes flexibility, fun, and community, making it ideal for solo adventurers, couples, and small groups alike.
The journey begins in Melbourne, with a meeting point at 74 Spring Street, East Melbourne, directly across from the historic Hotel Windsor. Guests are welcomed aboard a comfortable, air-conditioned bus and introduced to the day’s itinerary. Over the course of nine hours, participants enjoy tastings at four venues, which typically include two wineries, a gin distillery, and a chocolate shop. Each stop is carefully chosen to highlight the diversity of the Yarra Valley, from boutique wine estates to artisan producers.
Lunch is at the traveler’s own expense, with options such as Huberts Estate or Domaine Chandon, allowing guests to tailor the experience to their tastes. The tour also features a communal playlist, encouraging everyone to contribute songs and create a lively atmosphere. Flexibility is built into the schedule, with opportunities to swap venues or choose between wine, beer, or gin tastings depending on personal preference.
By the end of the day, guests return to Melbourne with not only a deeper appreciation for the Yarra Valley’s culinary and cultural offerings but also new connections made along the way. The Daily Public Tour is more than just a tasting trip—it’s a shared adventure that blends indulgence, discovery, and camaraderie into one memorable experience.

If you are concerned about sitting next to your partner, we recommend getting there nice and early at 8:40am so you can claim first seats. 16 of the 24 seats are shoulder to shoulder couples together.
-DO NOT put the wrong address into your maps. People frequently put this incorrect address in ’74 SPRING STREET EAST, PORT MELBOURNE’. This is a different town but has a very similar address. The easiest way to explain the pick up spot is by putting into Google maps ‘HOTEL WINDSOR’ and then walking across the road from there which is 74 SPRING STREET EAST MELBOURNE
We do not accept any wheelchair, strollers or luggage on our buses, so please to avoid embarrassment, do not bring anything like that.
-We will depart with or without you at 9am, we won’t wait for any reasons whatsoever.
-The bus we use has 24 seats, and it is likely that we can fill it up up to 22 seats. Occasionally we are so busy we decide to run a second vehicle that can be a 13 seater van, or a 21 seater bus. We communicate this to you a few days out, but you should be prepared to be on a bus with 20 other people.
-Our cancellation policy is firm, We do not refund for any reason whatsoever if it is within 24 hours of the tour starting (8:45am).
We don’t care if it’s a flight that’s late, a family emergency, a taxi that cancelled twice. We cannot operate in a way where we are refunding everytime this happens.
We do not issue refunds for any reason if you cancel within 24 hours of the tour start time (8:45am).
We understand things happen — sickness, family emergencies, cancelled flights, late Ubers, or trains not running — but because your seat can’t be resold at such short notice, we can’t offer a refund. That’s what travel insurance is for if you’re on holiday.
If you cancel more than 24 hours before the tour starts, we offer a full refund for any reason.
Why? We need enough time to rebook your seat. Usually, 24 hours isn’t enough notice, so NO refunds are given within this window.
If you’re running late on the day, we recommend catching a taxi directly to the first venue to avoid missing out.
We don’t allow free rescheduling for cancellations. If you want to book another date, you’ll need to purchase a new ticket at full price.
