Jabiru to Arnhem Land Yingana Injalak Hill Full Day Tour

  • Arnhem Land
  • 7 hours

Overview

Step into Arnhem Land—where ancient stories live in stone and the land speaks through its people. This full-day guided tour from Jabiru is your rare chance to explore one of Australia’s most sacred and remote regions, accessible only by permit and led by those who call it home.

🖼️ Your journey begins with an Aboriginal guide, who takes you and a small group to the remarkable Injalak Hill. Here, you’ll walk among ancient rock art galleries that have stood for thousands of years, each painting a window into Yolngu culture and Dreamtime lore.

🎨 Visit Injalak Arts, a not-for-profit Aboriginal art centre where you can meet local artists and take home a piece of living history.

🍃 All the essentials are covered—national park fees, a fresh lunch, and afternoon tea—so you can focus on the experience, not the logistics.

🚐 Convenient pickup and drop-off from select Jabiru hotels makes it easy to join, and the small group size ensures a personal, respectful connection to the land and its stories.

This isn’t just a tour—it’s a cultural exchange, a walk through time, and a chance to see Arnhem Land through the eyes of its traditional custodians.

Arnhem Land is a vast, historically rich region in the northeastern corner of Australia’s Northern Territory, covering approximately 97,000 square kilometers. It’s one of the most culturally significant and remote areas in the country, known for its deep Aboriginal heritage, stunning landscapes, and limited Western influence
The region includes both East and West Arnhem Land, with major hubs like Nhulunbuy, Yirrkala, Gunbalanya, Ramingining, and Maningrida. About 12,000 of the 16,000 residents are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people.
Arnhem Land is renowned for its Aboriginal rock art, especially at sites like Injalak Hill and Ubirr Rock. These artworks depict everything from Dreamtime stories to early European contact, including detailed images of rifles, ships, and even aircraft.
