Discover Tasmania’s Wild Heart: A 7-Day West to East Adventure

Embark on an unforgettable journey across Tasmania, Australia’s island jewel, where ancient wilderness meets pristine coastline. This comprehensive 7-day tour takes you from the rugged, untamed west coast through the heart of the island to the sun-drenched beaches of the east, revealing the extraordinary diversity that makes Tasmania one of the world’s most captivating destinations.

Your adventure begins in the wild west, where World Heritage-listed rainforests cascade down mountain slopes and powerful rivers carve through ancient rock. Here, you’ll witness some of the planet’s last true wilderness areas, where the roar of the Southern Ocean echoes through button grass plains and centuries-old Huon pines stand sentinel in the mist.

As you journey eastward, Tasmania’s character transforms before your eyes. Navigate through the island’s alpine highlands, where glacial lakes mirror snow-capped peaks and wombats waddle across highland plains. Traverse charming colonial towns where convict-built sandstone buildings tell stories of Tasmania’s fascinating past, and stop at farm gates to taste some of Australia’s finest cool-climate wines, artisan cheeses, and fresh produce.

The tour crescendos on Tasmania’s spectacular east coast, where the turquoise waters of the Tasman Sea lap against powder-white beaches. Explore the iconic Freycinet National Park, home to the postcard-perfect Wineglass Bay, and discover secluded coves where wallabies graze at the water’s edge during golden-hour sunsets.

This carefully curated tour balances adventure with comfort, wilderness with culture, and activity with relaxation. Whether you’re hiking through moss-draped forests, sampling local delicacies, or simply soaking in the dramatic landscapes, you’ll experience the full spectrum of what makes Tasmania extraordinary. With expert guides, comfortable accommodations, and seamless logistics handled for you, all that’s left is to immerse yourself in the island’s natural splendor and unique charm.
