✨ Discover Tasmania’s Hidden Wonders

Embark on an unforgettable full‑day adventure that blends Tasmania’s unique wildlife with its spectacular underground landscapes. The Wildlife & Wild Caves Tour departs from Launceston CBD at 9:00am and returns around 5:00pm, offering eight hours of exploration, discovery, and delight.

Your journey begins in Chudleigh at the Melita Honey Farm, where you can sample sweet local produce and learn about the art of beekeeping. From there, travel to Mole Creek to visit the renowned Trowunna Wildlife Park. Here, you’ll encounter Tasmania’s iconic animals, including wombats, kangaroos, and the famous Tasmanian devil, before enjoying lunch in the historic township.

The adventure continues underground at King Solomons or Marakoopa Caves, where dazzling stalactites and glow‑worms reveal a magical subterranean world. A short walk to Alum Cliffs (Tulampanga) provides breathtaking views over the Mersey River gorge, while Elizabeth Town’s Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm tempts you with chocolate‑covered fruits. Finally, stroll through Launceston’s Cataract Gorge, crossing the suspension bridge and spotting native wildlife if time permits.

With entry fees included and the option of a private charter, this tour is the perfect blend of nature, culture, and indulgence. Experience Tasmania’s wild side in a single, captivating day.

Mole Creek Karst National Park is one of Tasmania’s most remarkable geological treasures, protecting an extensive network of limestone caves shaped over millions of years. Declared in 1996, the park is home to the famous Marakoopa and King Solomons caves—two of the state’s most visited underground attractions. Visitors can explore shimmering glow‑worm displays, underground rivers, cathedral‑like chambers, and delicate limestone formations that reveal the slow artistry of nature. Set beneath the Great Western Tiers, the park offers a rare opportunity to experience Tasmania’s subterranean landscapes and learn about the unique karst systems that define the Mole Creek region.

Highlights:

  1. Tasmanian Devils: You’ll get to see these iconic creatures up close at the Trowunna Wildlife Sanctuary. It’s a great opportunity to learn about their behavior and conservation efforts.
  2. Marakoopa Cave: Explore the beautiful glow worm displays and stunning limestone formations in this dramatic cave system.
  3. Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm: Enjoy a delicious lunch with fresh raspberry-inspired dishes.
  4. Great Western Tiers: Experience the breathtaking backdrop of this rugged escarpment.
