Getting around by public bus service

Unfortunately, public bus services in Margaret River are very limited – it’s quite challenging to get around the region without a car.

The Reality:

Margaret River doesn’t have a regular public bus network connecting attractions, wineries, beaches, and caves
Everything is spread out over a large area (wineries and beaches can be 20-30+ km apart)
The region is designed for car travel

Limited Public Transport:

TransWA operates coach services between Perth and Margaret River town, but these are mainly for getting to/from the region, not for local travel
There may be occasional town bus services, but nothing that would help tourists reach wineries or beaches

Alternatives if You Don’t Have a Car:

Hire a car – This is really the best option. You can rent in Perth or Margaret River itself
Tour buses – Join organized wine tours, brewery tours, or sightseeing tours that include transport
Bike rental – Some areas are bikeable, though distances can be long and roads hilly
Uber/taxis – Available but expensive for multiple destinations
